BACKGROUND: The Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council’s mission is to protect consumers of immigration services. This Canadian agency does this through effective regulation of immigration consultants and promotion of the benefits of using only authorized immigration representatives. The ICCRC establishes and delivers effective policies, practices, and procedures to regulate and educate immigration consultants and promote the use of authorized representatives to the public.
OUR WORK: As part of its mission, the ICCRC undertakes extensive efforts to educate the public about using authorized immigration consultants. This includes awareness campaigns that speak directly to the consumers of these services, informing them of their rights. Our Toronto and Vancouver multicultural marketing teams worked closely with the ICCRC to execute a twelve language national campaign. Our services included media recommendations, execution, graphic design, copy-writing/ translation, and reporting.
BACKGROUND: Vancouver is Canada’s third largest metropolitan region. It is Canada’s Pacific Rim gateway to the Asia and one of the most multicultural cities in the world with over 1 million people from Asian heritage living in the British Columbia’s Lower Mainland.
The city is a growing tech hub, and cultural industries hub. Vancouver is consistently named as one of the top five worldwide cities for livability and quality of life and the Economist Intelligence Unit has acknowledged it as the first city ranked among the top-ten of the world’s most well-living cities for five consecutive years.
OUR WORK: Our Vancouver multicultural marketing team assisted the City of Vancouver in sharing its message with the city’s South Asian, and Filipino populations. Our ethnic advertising experts executed campaigns in English and in other Asian languages. Our services included media recommendations, execution, and reporting.

BACKGROUND: Based in San Francisco, Lyft is a leading rideshare company. The public company, which is listed on the Nasdaq Exchange, operates in over 600 cities in the United States and Canada. Lyft develops, markets, and operates the Lyft mobile app, offering car rides, scooters, and a bicycle-sharing system.
OUR WORK: Our Canadian multicultural marketing team assisted Lyft in its Vancouver launch. This included the initial driver acquisition campaign.
Our ethnic advertising team provided a range of strategy options to the client, for various mediums: digital, radio, TV, print, and OOH. Our multicultural marketing work included media recommendations, translation, graphic services, execution, analytics, and reporting.
BACKGROUND: The Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver (REBGV) is a member-based professional association of more than 14,000 realtors who live and work in communities from Whistler to Maple Ridge to Tsawwassen and everywhere in between.
The Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver (REBGV) is one of Vancouver’s earliest professional associations.
The Board has been in continuous operation since 1919 when 10 local real estate brokers formed the Vancouver Real Estate Exchange.
OUR WORK: The Vancouver ethnic marketing team executed a Punjabi language digital campaign. We provided inventory recommendations, demographic targeting, graphics, and reporting. Our multicultural digital marketing team also researched digital platform options for this in-language campaign.
BACKGROUND: FortisBC is Canada’s largest private utility company specialising in electric power and gas distribution. The utility company serves approximately 1 million customers across south central BC (Canada) and also operates a vast 7,000 km+ network of transmission and distribution power lines.
The electricity and natural gas divisions of FortisBC together deliver over 20% of the total energy consumed in British Columbia.
OUR WORK: When a pipeline incident potentially disrupted the flow of natural gas to homes across the province, our Vancouver multicultural marketing team executed a Punjabi language digital campaign to inform consumers in the South Asian community in the province.
The campaign included demographic targeting, graphics work, and execution reporting.
BACKGROUND: Elections Alberta is an independent, non-partisan office of the Legislative Assembly responsible for administering provincial elections, by-elections and referenda. This body administers the Election Act and the provincial electoral process. Returning Officers are appointed by the Chief Electoral Officer to assist in the conduct of electoral events and effectively train and equip 16,000-plus Albertans who are employed during an election.
OUR WORK: Our Calgary and Edmonton multicultural marketing teams executed a multi-language multicultural campaign for this client, over both print and digital media platforms. We provided copy-writing/ translation services in a number of languages: Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Punjabi, Tagalog, Korean, and Spanish. We also provided media recommendations, demographic targeting, graphics, and reporting. On the digital side, we geo-targeted Chinese Albertans – our ethnic digital marketing team again provided media recommendations, copy, and graphic services.
BACKGROUND: Nissan Canada is a division of Nissan, a Japanese multinational automobile manufacturer headquartered in Yokohama, Japan. The company produces vehicles under the Nissan, Infiniti, and Datsun brands with in-house performance tuning products labelled Nismo. Since 1999, Nissan has been part of the Renault–Nissan–Mitsubishi Alliance, a partnership between Nissan of Japan, Mitsubishi Motors of Japan and Renault of France. In 2014 Nissan was the largest car manufacturer in North America and as of 2018 is the world’s largest electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer.
OUR WORK: For Chinese New Year 2019, our BC and Alberta multicultural marketing teams executed a print and digital campaign for Nissan Canada. Our team produced Chinese language ad copy for the Year of the Golden Pig campaign, as well as graphic design, layout, media recommendations, WeChat advertising execution, and both digital and print reporting. We executed campaign for major Western Canadian markets of Vancouver, Calgary, and Edmonton.
BACKGROUND: Beedie Development Company is one of Canada’s largest private real estate companies. This Vancouver based corporation focuses on development, investment and property management with the mission of positively influencing the well-being of residents, commerce and community. The namesake of the company, Keith Beedie, founded the company in 1954 on the principles of uncompromising quality, outstanding service, and nurturing loyal relationships.
OUR WORK: Our multicultural marketing team has worked on a number of Beedie projects. These include The Heights on Austin, The Hawksley, Slate and others and in languages such as Punjabi, Persian, Korean, and Russian. These campaigns executed by our Vancouver multicultural advertising team have ranged from digital/ programmatic to social to ethnic print. Execution work has included copy-writing, graphic design, media planning, and conversion reporting.
BACKGROUND: Aegis Gardens is a senior’s community that focuses on Chinese culture. This community, situated in the Seattle area, is designed to be warm and inviting with thoughtfully designed architecture and interiors that are based on feng-shui. The facility provides 24-hour care provided by a professional Chinese and English-speaking staff. There are over 2.5million Canadians of Chinese descent and an equal number living in the US – this facility is much in demand as it provides a unique cultural environment for senior citizens to interact and socialize with others from the same cultural background.
OUR WORK: Both the Vancouver and Toronto multicultural marketing teams contributed to execute a Chinese language print and digital campaign. For print, we provided media recommendations, demographic targeting, graphics, and reporting. On the digital side, we executed a WeChat campaign on the Chinese language mobile app. Our multicultural digital marketing team provided copy recommendation, graphics, translation, and WeChat coding for this campaign.
Background: Loblaws is a supermarket chain with over 2000 stores in Canada. It is Canada’s largest food distributor. Loblaws is headquartered in Brampton, with stores in British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario and Quebec, including its marquee brand, Real Canadian Superstore. The first grocery store in the chain opened in 1919 – it was based on a self-serve, cash-and-carry model which offered lower prices. This model proved to be a big hit. Over the next decade, 70 new stores opened in Ontario alone. Aside from it’s retail stores, Loblaws also operates the President’s Choice brand.
The Work: Both our Toronto multicultural marketing unit and the Vancouver team worked with the client to execute a Filipino consumer campaign that covered the entire Western Canadian region. This campaign included media recommendations, execution, demographic targeting, and reporting.
