BACKGROUND: Go2HR is the human resources and health & safety association for BC’s tourism and hospitality industry. The organisation helps British Columbia tourism sector employers by offering programs, tools, and consulting services to boost employer human resources and health & safety practices.

OUR WORK: The association launched a province wide Job Board to help businesses in the sector recruit and retain staff. Our digital ethnic marketing team planned, executed, and reported on these omnichannel digital campaigns. This work included copywriting in various scripts/ languages such as Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Punjabi and others.

Health Quality Council of Alberta (HQCA)

BACKGROUND: The Health Quality Council of Alberta (HQCA) is an Alberta provincial agency that engages with patients, families, and service providers from across healthcare and academia in order improve patient safety, person-centred care, and health service quality. HQCA values engagement with Albertans of all backgrounds and, where possible, relies on empirical data to evaluate, review, and analyze information objectively, from all relevant healthcare sources.

OUR WORK: It is well established that seniors are one of the most vulnerable cohorts when it comes to patient care. Within this demographic, seniors from diverse communities are even more at risk given they may have internalised cultural expectations on how active a role they can take in their own care. Our ethnic marketing team assisted this client with omni-channel and tactic campaigns to reach seniors and their caregivers from Alberta’s diverse communities. Our work included media planning, buying, execution, and reporting, as well as strategy advisement.

BACKGROUND: Each year, individuals, families, companies, and other entities send over $500 billion in remittances across the globe. TapTapSend is a leading money remittance app that specialises in sending funds quickly and a minimal expense. In particular, the app is renowned for the robustness of its networks in Africa, Asia, and the Caribbean, including its reach into rural areas of many of the least developed parts of the world. TapTapSend is a venture-backed start-up with investors including Reid Hoffman, the Omidyar Network, and Helios.

OUR WORK: Taptap Send is expanding its presence in Canada and the United States and seeking to engage with migrants from countries like Pakistan, Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Philippines, as well as African countries like Kenya, and Tanzania. For the app’s Ontario campaign, our multicultural marketing team worked directly with this brand’s in-house staff to plan, book, and execute Out-Of-Home (OOH) campaigns for the Greater Toronto Area. This included advising on creative/ ad copy as well as final reporting & metrics.

Gulf & Fraser Credit Union (G&F)

BACKGROUND: Operating as Gulf & Fraser or G&F, Gulf and Fraser Fishermen’s Credit Union is a member-owned financial institution in Canada.  The history of G&F goes back to 1940 and the credit union’s servi ces include borrowing, investments and financial planning.

OUR WORK: Our multicultural marketing team has worked with this brand to assist its efforts in engaging with New Canadians and immigrant households, particularly in areas serviced by its brick-and-mortar locations. For these campaigns we have employed both traditional and digital media, including executing campaigns on Chinese platforms such as WeChat.

Imagine Wireless (Fido)

BACKGROUND: Imagine Wireless is one of Western Canada’s largest Rogers authorized dealerships. The chain has nine retail locations across Calgary, Banff, and Canmore and six corporate locations across Canada. The company specialises in providing wireless mobile voice and data solutions, business telecom solutions and satellite solutions.

OUR WORK: Our WeChat marketing team assisted this client to execute WeChat campaigns in Western Canada. For these promotional campaigns we wrote article copy and created WeChat layouts. We also assisted with banners, media planning, execution, and reporting & metrics.

Background: Across Southern Ontario, the name Pfaff has been synonymous with auto dealerships and vehicle servicing for over fifty years. In that time, the group has grown consistently as it has added numerous dealerships to its portfolio, as well as a number of other services including financing and online buying.

The Work: Our multicultural and Chinese marketing team has worked with this client on in-language performance campaigns targeting the Canadian market. For our managed digital services, we have provided copywriting/ translation, media planning, ongoing campaign optimisation(s), graphics, metrics & reporting.

Thompson Rivers University

Background: Founded over fifty years ago, TRU, as it is commonly called, is one of British Columbia’s major universities. It is based in the interior city of Kamloops and has grown to a base of over 10,000 students. Aside from offering undergraduate, graduate, and vocational degrees, TRU also offers law and nursing degrees.

The Work: Our South Asian, Chinese, and multicultural marketing teams have worked with this client to attract students from the domestic Canadian market. Our services have included managed digital programmatic campaigns, media planning and media buying, campaign optimisation, graphics, metrics & reporting.

St. Mary’s University

Background: Based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Saint Mary’s is the second oldest English-speaking university in Canada. It was launched through the Roman Catholic church in 1802 where it was then focussed on training the religious institution’s clergy. Today the school enrolls approximately 7,000 students and is renowned for its nationally recognised business and chemistry programs.

The Work: Our Chinese marketing team worked with this client to promote it’s business school overseas to prospective students currently living in Asia. For this digital lead generation campaign, we utilised our expertise in managed programmatic campaigns, data management platform (DMP) tech, and premium inventory from Tencent (China’s version of Google Ad Network). We also provided campaign optimisation, translation/ copywriting, graphics, and metrics & reporting.

City of Edmonton

Background: Edmonton is North America’s northernmost city with a population greater than one million people. The city, also known as Canada’s Festival City, is the centre for Alberta’s government and a key commercial hub for the province’s energy sector. Over the past three decades Edmonton’s demographic composition has rapidly evolved as the city has attracted immigrant families from around the globe.

The Work: As the city’s population base has diversified so has the need for the city to communicate with all of its diverse communities. Our multicultural marketing team has assisted this client for in-language campaigns. We have worked via digital and print mediums to inform Edmonton’s residents about issues critical to their livelihood. Execution has included services such as media planning, copy writing/ translation, audience building, reporting, and more.

Background: When the concept of overnight delivery was born a half century ago, FedEx (or Federal Express Corp as it was known then) was one the innovators in this new era of rapid shipping and logistics. Today, the company is an international conglomerate with offices around the world and one of the iconic brands of America’s Fortune 500.

The Work: Our Chinese marketing team has assisted this client for in-language campaigns for its recruitment efforts. Using print buys we targeted Chinese speaking Canadians, and provided execution services such as media planning, copy writing recommendations, reporting, and more.
